Your hotel was just what it said it would be and more. The locations was wonderful, picturesque, quaint, clean fabulous views and unique. Rick Steve's recommendation was a big factor, and we certainly found all his acolades to be true.
The staff was very friendly. They helped with directions for dining, market, and city bus.
Great location, great views from room terrace, friendly staff.
Hotel lacks a bit of atmosphere.
The incredible terrace, with the panoramic view over the Andalucian countryside. The breakfast terrace offered the same view.
For some reason at this time of the year possibly, there were flies in our room constantly. The windows had no screens. Another minor issue was the habit of wasps to visit the terrace. The hotel needs to keep the nests out of the chaise lounges!
Excellent private terrace attached to room...at ciffs edge. Beautiful sunset view.
As with any small European town parking can be a challenge if you drive. Roads are very narrow and the car park nearby is usually packed full. Just a minor inconvenience to drop off bags and park further away.
having the balcony made the stay very special
Reception staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful.Decor of room was very nice and view from room was amazing. Location of hotel is right in the centre of the old town so once you have managed to park your car you can leave it and walk everywhere. Continental breakfast was fine and could have been taken out on the terrace overlooking the fantastic views of the valley below (the weather was too cool for us to do that)
Access is challenging due to the very narrow streets, limited parking close by and the fact that you have to walk 250 yards with your suitcases because the hotel is on a pedestrianised street. However, I would not use this as a deterrent to staying there unless you have limited mobility.
The private terrace overlooking the cliff was just the best! Also, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
WIFI didn't work in the room -- had to use the computer in the common room. Also, my husband could not get hot water in the shower
Quite a traditional hotel in a wonderful location. We chose a room with a balcony and loved having breakfast there while also enjoying the spectacular view. A comfortable room well laid out.
Our room (number 8) was directly below the communal balcony. The noise, caused by movement of furniture on the balcony carried straight through to our room, disturbing sleep. The bed was a standard double size, so smaller than we are used to.
There is wonderful view on a valley. It's better to book room with a terraсe.
I recommend to drop a car on city parking. There is underground one on Andalus Street. It costs 15 euro per night (october 2010). Try to avoid drive to old city. Streets there are very narrow, extremaly narrow! Don't allow your GPS to guide you there!
